The Department of Earth Science at Florida International University invites applications for a full-time position as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful applicant will conduct research in the areas of carbonate sedimentology, borehole and near-surface geophysics, and magnetostratigraphy in southeastern Florida. Applicants should hold a PhD in carbonate sedimentology or geophysics or a related discipline. Essential skills include carbonate core examination, experience with Kingdom Suite or similar seismic interpretation software, borehole geophysical data interpretation, good organizational skills, a track record of publication in the peer-reviewed literature, a proven ability to manage large and diverse data sets, and strong written skills. Successful candidate will collaborate with scientists at the U.S. Geological Survey in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
