Postdoc position in carbonate sedimentology and diagenesis
The Department of Geography & Geology, University of Copenhagen has an opening for a postdoc position in carbonate sedimentology and diagenesis. The position is for 1 year (to be started immediately) with a possible extension for 1 year more.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in carbonates and geochemistry, and an interest in field based studies and reservoir geology. The Research group is presently involved in projects on Upper Palaeozoic carbonates in the Arctic and Chalk in NW Europe and the successful candidate will be involved in field work in Svalbard and Denmark.
Work will take place in the dynamic research environments at Geocenter Copenhagen, where several PhD fellows and senior scientists are working on carbonates. Close collaboration with research groups in Norway and elsewhere will take place within a Petromaks sponsored project.
Candidates should hold a PhD degree in geoscience. The salary depends on seniority, as agreed between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Negotiation for further supplement is possible.
